Origin and History
The historical backdrop of Citizenship Day goes back to the late spring of 1787 when representatives met in Philadelphia to make and art the constitution of the United States of America. They attempted to build up a structure that would give equalization and opportunity, considering government and state interests, just as individual human rights.
The agents marked in the Constitution of the United States on September 17, 1787. By June 21, 1788, the constitution was powerful, having been affirmed by nine of the 13 states. In December 2004 a government law was established and assigned September 17 as “Constitution Day and Citizenship Day”.
