Longport railway station is a station serving the areas of Longport, Middleport, Tunstall and Burslem, all districts within the northern a part of Stoke-on-Trent, England. The station was opened by the North Staffordshire Railway (NSR) on 9 October 1848 and was then named Burslem.[1] It was renamed to Longport when a brand new Burslem station (which was a lot nearer to the city) opened after the NSR constructed their Loop Line.
