Charakonda is a mandal (district sub-division) within the Nagarkurnool District within the Indian state of Telangana. The district and its subdivisions had been created by the Telangana authorities in 2016 as a part of a reorganization of the state’s districts, mandals and income divisions; previous to that the area encompassed by the newly shaped Charakonda mandal had been included within the Mahbubnagar district
Charakonda is positioned at 16°44′N 77°30′E (16.73° N, 77.5° E). It has a median elevation of 431 metres (1,414 toes).
