He served as technical adviser on Paramount’s 1927 biopic of his father titled Jesse James. This movie starred cowboy hero Fred Thomson, who normally was a great man to movie audiences. Here Thomson performs Jesse James in a lighthearted method which many elderly timers who remembered Jesse James’s murdering and robbing discovered inaccurate. The movie proved to be unpopular.

Jesse Edwards “Tim” James (August 31, 1875 – March 26, 1951) was the one surviving son of American outlaw Jesse Woodson James.[1] He was born in Nashville, Tennessee in the course of the peak of Jesse James’ profession as an outlaw. His mom was Zerelda, Jesse James’ spouse and first cousin.
